WALSIDI Development Consult, in partnership with the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, proudly celebrates the success of the Ghana Youth Videography Programme. This initiative empowered youth aged 18-30 to produce compelling documentaries on climate change in Ghana for the United Nations.
A standout moment was the VIP screening, where a 30-minute compilation film created by youth videographers from Northern Ghana was showcased, followed by a discussion with the filmmakers. These documentaries were featured at the UN COP27 Conference in November 2023 as part of the Youth Climate Report.
The project, supported by Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada, was led by:
Dr. Jeff Grischow, Associate Professor, History
Dr. Magnus Mfoafo-M-Carthy, Associate Professor, Social Work
Dr. Mark Terry
This achievement underscores the power of youth engagement and storytelling in addressing global challenges all projected by WALSIDI Development Consult.
